Anya looked up from the ledgers. “Dawn’s journal? She’ll come back for it.”

“I know... I’m just sayin’....”

“You’re saying nothing so far. Now let me concentrate, I have to start all over,” she said, pulling her calculator closer.

“No, I mean... what do you think’s in it?”

Frustrated, she blew a strand of hair face. “It’s a journal. It’s got sex in it.”

“Huh... nooo,” Xan raised his hand half over his eyes. “It’s got a kitten on it. It says ‘hello kitty,’ and not the kind you’re thinking about. I’ts about icecream...”

“Sex”

Basically, two weeks before this scene, Xander shot Spike with a tranq gun because Spike was going berserk after Dru was killed. Two weeks later, Xander finally finds Spike at a demon bar and they get drunk. It's cute/funny.

(This is my Wes tag to Gwen, on a Buffy RPG. Thought my resident slashers might get a kick out of it, though it's not a biggie)

Wes had a great many trepidations as he left his car behind in this very seedy part of town. Trash and cardboard boxes were blowing on the sidewalk, the stores had bars and broken windows, and he was accosted every few minutes. If it wasn't the drug dealers, it was the prostitutes. Males, females... and their offerings quite perplexed his mind. At least some of them, those that didn't seem at all pleasurable.

"Hey baby."

Wes shook his head no, and walked past the curvaceous woman wearing a pink matted fur vest over a leopard print tight skirt that left nothing to his imagination. Her face bore the marks of dissipation, and a hard life. Her most striking feature was her full lips, lined way above her lip marks and colored in with orange. It made him think of a plunger.

"What? You don't like sex? What about slash, I could read you some," she offered, popping her gum. "I have a great reading voice..."

"No, it's quite all right, I have more than enough slash and gore in my life," he responded, lengthening his strides and crossing the street.

There he was, in front of a dingy Chinese restaurant. The Poo Poo Place. Wonderful. He really didn't want to think of the offerings on their menu. If only Gwen would arrive and they could get on with it. He looked at his watch, then into the alley next door to the restaurant.
