Vampires didn’t sweat, but Angel could swear that a drop was rolling down his forehead. He punched his pillow, rolled over. and determinedly closed his eyes.

No dice. It was October—what was with the freaky weather? A loud snarl erupted from his throat as he tossed and turned in the heat.

In the lobby, Xander giggled and answered Spike’s inquiring look. “I might have turned the thermostat up all the way and closed all the vents except the vents to Angel’s room.”

Understanding dawned and a mischievous smile lit up Spike’s face, “Ah...I like the way you think, pet.”

nashmaveric and I finally finished writing all the parts of Protective Custody (19 parts, plus and Epilogue). It was way fun writing it together, and though I say "finally," for as long as it is, and considering our time zone issues, it went very quickly.

I also learned fanfic readers/writers are very supportive as a group. *Hugs them.*

Let's see if I get this right. I'm putting up the PC banner that the lovely cala_jane made for us (in addition to the icon - *points*), and then linking to the story which is housed at nashmaveric's mem's page. When I figure out how to put it into my own mems, one day... I'll probably put a copy there as well.
