Woot, lookie my beautiful new plaque. *Shines it up* LOL. I'm really thrilled because as many of you know, comedy comes hard for me, and Touched was a hard one for me to write/get through. Thank you for the award/nom, and congrats to all the other winners!

Some lovely person nominated Touched over at Sunnydale Memorial Awards. Now, they may have been a wee bit overenthusiastic because the story is nommed in several categories: Best Author, Best AU, Best Comedy, Best Pairing Unconventional, Best Slash

I'm very excited, and grateful for the nom. The best part is being up in a comedy category... cause I have no confidence in that genre. Really, it takes me a loooong time to make something even a bit funny. Touched was a fluke, and it was hard work. I tried to write something from Touched verse for Nash recently, and found I couldn't.

Anyway, thank you... and good luck to all the other nominees as well.

Aaargh... I've been under a complete mountain of work. I know I've missed lots of stuff on LJ, and hopefully I can work on catching up next weekend. This week will continue to be hell, unfortunately.

For those of you who have asked about Touched, never fear, I do plan on continuing it. My lap top incident was a set back -- it's no fun doing a "re-write," but I will definitely get to it at my first opportunity, which may be this coming weekend.

In other news, nashmaveric and I have started working on the next story in the Spander Time After Time series, yay! Without spoiling (cause Nash would kick my ass if I did that), I can honestly say it is WAY different from the other stories in the series ::grins:: Estimated time of completion... I'd have to say next weekend, maaaaybee Friday, but not promising.

Feel free to bring my attention to things that I may have missed on your LJ, I don't know how realistic it is to think I can actually go through my entire F-list for a time span of several weeks.

Saw a weird bumper sticker. I don't remember it exactly, but it went something like this. "Drive safely, within the speed limit, don't weave, and always be courteous dummy." Hmmm, not sure the person sporting the sticker was a poster boy for courteous driving...

Saw Star Wars at last. What? This way I can claim I'm not a nerd as I didn't have to rush out and watch it upon it's release. Or stand in line weeks in advance. *Eyes belgerod and says nothing on the point* I think the dialogue sucked, but in whole it was a fun movie. As usual, it was a visual feast of futuristic goodness. I didn't expect it to be as good as the first three episodes, and it wasn't. But it was better than the first two prequels by leaps and bounds. No spoilers here.

In other news, I've started writing the next story in the Time After Time series with nashmaveric. This one takes place during the French Revolution. In contrast to the first story, which was bleak/dark, we are hoping this one will be a rollicking fun good time, despite the historical period.

I'm also hoping to post the next bit of Touched by midweek. But now... I have to go back to my regular programming - ugh work!
